I've been looking at the site for the last 15 minutes. No problems on this end. Had my wife check her computer as well, Looks great there also.

.com is already taken unfortunantly

Keep an eye on it and get it if it ever becomes available. Also go after any easy mispellings or typos and have them redirected to your primary site.

just tried looking at your site and its coming up as unfound????

Since I just had it go 'live' on Wednesday, it may not be available to everyone yet. It didn't show available to me until late last night.

I will definantly keep my eye out for the .com! Good advice! Thanks y'all.

I'm not seeing anything either. But I love the name. My daughter's name is Lily. =)

I focus on family portraits, maternity, newborn, and weddings.

I haven't found my nitche yet, so am still experimenting in the wide variety of fields photography offers. I've even been offered an suggested opportunity to shoot labor and delivery with a Doula.

My advice would be don't market yourself as anything but family portrait, maternity, newborn and weddings. Keep experimenting of course but it's probably a good idea not to market yourself as heaps of different things until you decide where you want to go.

I honestly think that (note this!) almost all photography names are cheesy if they aren't your name. My business name is my name as I want to brand myself and not the photos I'm taking, if that makes sense. www.katiepablo.com (external link) looks boutique. :)

I suggest you read the book Fast Track Photographer by Dane Sanders, it really opened my eyes as far as photography business goes.

I really liked David Duchemins book, Vision Mongers: Making a living in photography. I think that's what it's called, might have got a few words wrong but if you search vision mongers it will come up. Also when buying books http://www.booko.com.au/ (external link) is great! It finds the same book at a bunch of different stores on the net and tells you the prices in Australian including shipping.

I think www.katiepablo.com (external link) looks great to, it gives me an upper class feel. It makes me think you're something special and unique in your field, by the way im not saying your not incase someone takes it that way :P

Did they fluster you because of the speed? That damn thing pissed me off to no end, and took me an hour to figure it out. I took of the speed, and changed it off of infinite. Does it work better for you?

photographybypablo and picsbypablo was available. Or pablopics

Fun searching isn't it.

For registration, banks in our area require a registered business name to open a business bank account. In Oregon, we renew every 2 years I think it is.

As for "Photos by Pablo", if you have been using that commercially and openly, if may already qualify for an established trademark. Although not registered.

Sort of like the copyright thing. There is the existence aspect and the registered aspect.
