I looked through everything and I don't see anywhere where I can delete a post I made on the For Sale forum. I'd like to redo my post but delete the one it will replace.
Thanks!

Just lock the post you don't want.

I do not think you can just re list. You need to edit the first post.

How do you lock a post or do you mean remove it from your subscribed posts.

Click the "Report Post" icon,
<------ the red triangle with exclamation sign.

Do this to your original post and tell the mod that you accidentally made the tread and ask for it to be deleted, or they should be able to change the title for you.

There is no need to delete the post unless it is a duplicate. In that case you need to contact us anyway. Just edit the first post, but do not remove any information about your item. If you need additional help click this icon

on your post in that thread and tell us what you need help with.

You may not delete threads nor delete the information in a thread starter.

If you need help with a thread or title use the report post button.

Mods will not delete a thread so you can start a new one unless the requisite four weeks have passed, in that case just start a new thread.

Hope that this helps.

I think if it is a mistake in the title a mod can fix it. But I think re-posting within 4 weeks is against the rules.

I have had PM's from members to help them change a post, but that's not the right method. Report what you need done gets our attention, but members should try their best to start a thread with great thought and read through before posting.

Yes, the "preview post" should be utilized more to review what was written.

So, the mods have essentially disabled the feature where a user can delete his own post right? You really didn't answer the OP's question other than provide an alternative. I honestly think it would be MUCH better if I was able to moderate my own posts re:deletion. Save the mods a ton of work and gives me the option to change my mind. JMHO....

You can delete a post you make (there may be a time limit, don't quite remember) throughout most of the forum. In this case the OP was inquiring about a post in the For Sale forums where rules are different from the rest of the forum.

You can still edit your own posts. It's just that there are times when people edit their previous posts and many others have posted after so it doesn't make sense anymore. There are always reasons for why we Mods do things the way we do. And the forum is better for it. I'm glad the OP fixed his post.
