Found this one nesting and I think maybe it's mate, didn't expose the whites very well but thought it might still be interesting to some. hard to tell the sexes apart, the only difference is a tiny amount in the length of the beak.

I've never seen them in great numbers but I just about always see at least one when I'm out. They can be found over half of australia pretty much, quite common in the eastern sates. Cheers Wayne
