Compact, fixed lens camera ... but with the same sensor size as the 20D.

That is almost the camera I've been preaching about. All it needs is a 12X IS lens and it would be perfect. Well, it would be nice if it had Canon on it. The only other problem is that it's ugly. But I could live with that.

Most likely it wouldn't be very compact any more if you put a 12x zoom lens (15-180) that starts at f/2.8 on it... :wink:

Yeah, and it's the size of a 20D now. But they got rid of the mirror box and gave us a live display. And no interchangeable lens money pit.

Wouldn't it be redundant to screw the 1.7 teleconverter on it?
