Have you even tried to do what I suggested to get them back onto the Edit In menu?

Most 64 bit plugins won't even install if the OS is 32-bit, and vice-versa.

Hey solara,

No I did not. However have since read your post properly and it worked....thanks very much (even if I still don't understand why it didn't work as normal)

For future reference in case you run into issues using other plug-ins, while your MBP is 64 bit, in reality it boots into 32 bit mode by default. You can change that if you'd like - just look up 64 bit and Mac on Google. 64 bit and 32 bit plug-ins and executables will install correctly regardless of which mode you booted up in, but you may have to tell the program what mode to run in. That's how I was able to use the 32 bit Nik plug-ins until they released the 64 bit versions.
