My Envision monitor has been acting "funny" for the past couple of weeks. The monitor is not new ( Jan-2007). My video card died a few months ago and I replaced it with an NVIDIA card. Back to the monitor- the display has been occasionally switching from normal to a lilght greenish-yellow tint then it switches back. This is only an intermittent problem, but I'd like to fix it before it becomes permanent. So has my card gone bad or is my monitor nearing the end of it's life? Help and opinions appreciated.

Take your troublesome Envision down to the local electronic recycling center, then invest in a new, IPS paneled monitor.

I'm sometimes blunt with advice, but always environmentally sensitive. ;)

Try a new cord before you toss the monitor. Buy it from somewhere that accepts returns. Back in the days of VGA cables this could be caused by a loose cord or a bent/faulty pin.

Thanks, I'll try it.

Some of the nVidia based cards have recently been reported eccentric in behavior per some computer forums, in particular the GTX series. There has been a recent driver update which you may find helpful. I did the update a few days back so it is too early to say if it is now perfect, but I have not had one incident since the updated driver install.
