Please send me a PM about any lens on my list. It has taken me years to collect them, test them, compare them, etc. I want to help others. Each lens on this list has a reason why it is a "keeper." Lenses are worth investing the time and energy into researching them. But, I am probably biased. Do let me know if this arrangement is handier than what I had before.

Thank you for taking the time to organize this nice collection. It is easier to understand than what you had.
You have two crop cameras and no FF. May I ask why?

Your gear list definitely looks cleaner!

I am interested in gasrocks answer, but if I had to guess, maybe mirror clearance?

Do you have any M-mount lenses?
Your gear list is heavily abbreviated.. you mention over 170, but I "only" see 50.

I just never saw FF as something I need or something to go toward. Only minor thing I might gain is a bit less DOF but I am happy with what I get now. Besides the 7D is a great camera all around. I have owned a dozen different Canon DSLRs; 1.6x , 1.3x and FF. And, yes a few lenses would not be useable at infinity on a FF body, but not many really.

The difference bewteen 170 and this 52(?) is mentioned already. By M mount do you mean Leica M mount? They are nice but cannot be adapted to Canon.

I was looking for M-mount to use it on my M8.2, not on my 5D2. I was half-hoping you were into Leica's as well.

6 Leica's and I am not into Leicas? Guess you have a lot more money to spare than I do. And on a more serious note ( a joke) first place I go looking for someone "into" Leica film cameras is the Canon Digitial Phtoogrpahy Fourm.

Thank you for all the valuable info. I have some more questions for you, since I have been very curious to explore MF lenses.
Are you using a different focusing screen for the 7d?
Do you use focus confirm adapters?

I still teach photography and enjoy helping. I only have 2 focus confirmation adapters and tend to ignore them as they are wrong more times than right. However, for a beginner in the MF world, they may be a good idea (though a temporary crutch until they sharpen their MF skills.) I have never changed the screen.
