Also, they don't seem to sell from any retail outlets allowing for lesser prices, right?

I ended up buying Kirk's 5d2 L bracket from B&H instead. No discount, but I don't have to worry about shipping delay and etc. I know B&H will get it to me before Xmas.

Nope. RRS products are only sold from the manufacturer and you cannot get it any cheaper than the advertised price.

I will say this though, their products are worth every penny...

They issue with buying directly from RRS they never have things in stock for some reason

RRS stuff is expensive but it is built very well. I got lucky and got a L-bracket for my 5D off Ebay for like $50ish I think, just keep an eye on Ebay and the FS section here. I've had pretty good experience buying stuff on FM also, might want to keep an eye on there FS section as well.

That's another great thing about buying RRS, at least you can get your money back out of it if you ever need or decide to sell it.
