2s sounds about right. From school physics I recall the equation

S = 0.5*a*t^2

Where S is the distance, a is acceleration and t is time. Rearranging it gives

t = SQRT(2*S/a)

So, using 10 m/s^2 for a, and assuming he fell from a height of 5m, that means he took 1s to fall from the apex of his jump. He would also have taken 1s to reach the apex. Giving a total flight time of 2s.
