What's needed to fire the 430EX ii as a slave strobe?

I'm thinking of purchasing the Canon 430EX ii flash to add to my camera gear. At times, I'd like to use this as a hair light with the two Alien Bees studio lights I now have.

What's the best (read: least expensive and reliable) way to "slave" fire the 430EX off of the Alien Bees? I already own a Wein peanut slave. Is there a PC terminal on the 430EX ii I can plug this in to?

Thanks in advance for your input!

I do not believe the 430exII has a pc port and Canon flashes do not like to work with optical slaves. If you are only going to use it for what you have described why not get one of the Yongnuo flashes? Most of them have an optic trigger built in and they are much less expensive than the Canon flashes.

Dale, thanks for your suggestion. I think I've just solved my problem. I already own some Pocket Wizards and I found a cord from FlashZebra.com that will utilize the hot shoe on the flash and plug right into the Pocket Wizard receiver. BUT, before I invest in the 430EX I'll research the Yongnuo. Thanks again!

Be careful with the YN-460 II's ... here's my recent experience with them ...
I recently bought two Yongnuos and although the concept is exactly what I wanted and when they were working they were great, they both sadly failed after only a small amount of very light usage as separation/fill flashes (probably less than 100 pops each over several days) :(

Now trying to find the same kind of thing, but a bit more robust this time

^^ I have one similar to that (Hama), works OK with a 430 but my 580 does not seem to like it :/
Also ... I have to remove the 430 from the hotshoe slave after each pop to reset it else it does not fire again - which is a bit of a pain in the butt tbh.
