I need critiques. What should I change, what should I fix?

TIA!

Looks like my link is no longer working. I've emailed the hosting site, I've been having issues since Wednesday. But it was working this morning and all yesterday evening. I'm so frustrated by it.

In any case, could you please critique it.

WTF. I don't know why it just stopped working. It was working when I added the URL.

Katie since you've asked for our comments on your site I have the darndest time trying to read your About Us page. The font is both incredibly curly, but an odd color with such curls agains that background. I think the site imo looks quite nice, but that about us page just throws me.

it's back up now FYI.

kinyocase brings up a good point -- the font in the about us page is rough. You have a lack of font continuity across all your pages -- try to keep the whole site to 3 fonts, with the opening page's quote not counting. For example, your menus are some form of Sans Serif, your "services" page headline is a different sans serif, the services text might be yet another, your about me has a Times headline followed by.... that body, and the text in "contact us" is Arial. Just go through and narrow down your font choices a bit. If you need the extra font face contrast you can use a different form (bold, narrow, etc).

The portfolio is good just be sure to put only your absolute best in it. Portfolios should never, never, never have filler.

The WIX banners are irritating but I suspect there isn't much you can do about that.

Overall looks great just needs a little bit extra polish to promote some continuity from page to page!

Your url isn't linking for me at this point, but I'm assuming the site directly at Wix is what it's supposed to be pointing at. Just a couple thoughts:
- Watch your use of "us" versus "I". Your navigation label for example says "About Us" and when I click on it, the page that comes up is titled "About Me". Same with "Contact Us" - decide whether there is one more more people at your photography business :)
- Agree on the font thing with the rest
- Some folks will know what "DFW" is, and others won't. It's a bit off-putting when someone starts right in using acronyms that the reader doesn't understand.

I agree with you about the font. I will figure out a better font that is readable.

I agree with all critiques that have been pointed out, I appreciate your input and will be working on resolving it.

Thanks!

Hikin Mike, I will check it out!

Overall, I think it looks quite nice...

As others have said, that "about us" page is virtually unreadable (and the actual page says "about me", but that's getting really picky).

I'll add one more thing and this is just my personal opinion, but I've always had trouble reading a light-colored text on a dark background. It just hurts my eyes. An example of this is http://www.dpreview.com/ (external link) It's a great site, but after a few minutes of viewing, I start getting that "bug-eyed" feeling, but maybe that's just me...
