Now do you get it?

1970 Gitane Interclub. Around the time when Japanese hardware was beginning to become accepted. I haven't ridden it in at least 15 years, tires are oxidized, but rims are true and the derailleurs are clean. Ran out to the garage to snap this when I saw the thread.:)

Why on earth would you shot a beauty like that bike in front of a fallen tree? :)
Anyway, I would pick a more neutral background and get up closer to the bike while leaving the whole bike in the shot.

If/when you shoot the Trek, take some time to find better light & a background that doesn't take attention away from the bike. See the links in my Sig, and...

*Note: I'm not a professional photographer, just getting more and more interested in it. I really welcome all the advise - I will certainly apply that in future shots. I've got a lot to learn:)

I just took it because I wanted to capture the fact that I was riding through a storm. The trail was littered with fallen trees. 2 or 3 times I had to get off the bike and carry it over the trees. It was a ton of fun.

I will take a few shots with my Trek bike soon. I'm hoping to get a camera this weekend. I did meet the lady with the used Canon Rebel XTI camera - it was just far to huge, cumbersome, and complicated for me and I prefer to have the lcd screen for viewing. The Canon SX30 had the screen so I'll probably try to hunt that one down today.

I took a lot of shots "from" my Trek bike, just not "of" it ;) I love taking scenery shots especially while out on bike rides, etc. Another favorite is taking winter shots at a local park - there are some spectacular views when the waterfalls and rivers ice over.
