Well, to be honest, I'd avoid the gimmicky processing (you seem to be overly applying Topaz in a lot of your posts) and concentrate more on exposure basics. If you take the time to properly compose and expose an image, you'd need very little in the way of post processing to end up with a very good final product. That being said, I'm not too keen on what the processing did to the sky and clouds in the 'after' image, the water seems to have taken on a totally different color, not to mention the obvious contrast boost...it looks like a less than ideal HDR image. I've never used Topaz, but I would guess that the various effects could be modified by adjusting the opacity sliders? If so, try playing with them...

I think the angle of the shot is pretty boring. It is from the perspective that everyone always sees - eye level standing by the water. Maybe get in the water (if you dare) with a polarizer filter on and shoot 90 to the sun at various heights above the water. Mix it up a little. As for the PP, the clouds are overcooked and obviously processed. Sometimes that looks cool if it is a stormy day or in B and W over an abandoned farmhouse but on the beach it doesn't make sense to me.

Glad you finally managed to post a picture. However, whilst the first may just pass as a pleasing scene, the second is seriously overcooked.
