Can't decide which version I prefer, so what does everyone here think??

Same set up, one shot at f/2.8 the other at f/22, hence the title.

The 2.8 I like how it shows an effect of motion that was not there, however at f/22 I like that everything seems sharp & in focus

Thanks to everyone in advance, your input is much appreciated

I like F/22

I normally like shallow DOF, but not at the focal plane you used in the 2nd photo.

The grain of the wood adds a lot of character. I think it would look best with the area nearest the camera in focus and at maybe F/4 or so to get a bit more in focus but still go to creamy soft in the distance.

First one, for sure, in my opinion.

I ask myself this question all the time. I find I don't usually like shots where the close detail is OOF. F/2.8 would have worked better if the fore/min-ground was in focus instead.

f/22 for me.

Either way, looks like it was taken from the deck of the Titanic while it was going down. That said, I'll say the f/22 image works better.

Just the humble musings of a beginner...

Actually, neither...the extreme tilt angle is just too much of a turnoff for me. That being said, I think the f/22 shot would have been better served if the immediate foreground had been in focus.

I like the first one the best. It just catches my eye the most. Keep up the good work.

I prefer the smaller aperture version but as per a couple of previous comments, the angle is just plain weird and the subject matter ie a fence doesn't become anymore compelling for it.
