f/2.8 or f/22 ??

More DoF in this case works far, far better.

Just a thought here if you can go back and reshoot: if you want a sense of movement, you could try zooming in your lens while the shutter is open... assuming you're using a zoom lens of course.

f22 for me

F22. No question. As stated earlier, the detail really adds a Hell of a lot of character to the image that the second version lacks.

Also, I disagree with everyone who found the angle weird and distracting. There is no need to be distracted here. It's a really neat way to look at something fairly mundane and the angle here, being something that most people wouldn't see or try to capture, does make the fence more compelling to me.

I think your first version is a winner and a good photograph; the only thing I would change is to maybe open the aperture up slightly to get a small bit more sense of DOF while maintaining the closest point of the fence in focus. Small complaint. Nicely shot.

I don't think F2.8 is make for landscape. Obvious F22 is the winner here. Is really dynamic.

Im not into the OOF area being in the forground.

Perhaps not award winning but the idea is pretty cool - suggests being on a rollercoaster but it's just a fence - the tilt - almost always really bad actually works here for me - the F22 definitely 200x better than 2.8.

I'm with the masses. f22 for me in this scenario.
