Its seriously hard to replace those on a shoot.

So I tried mine out with a Canon and Nikon camera... did great. Only issue I have is the Speedlights & Sunpak flash everytime however I cant get the Nikon sb-600 to flash. Besides perhaps new batteries any ideas? Is there a way to set the flash so it doesnt go to sleep? That was another headache...

Mine wouldn't fire until I plugged the sync cable in (strange) now it works fine without.

My first 5 light shot using these Cactus V5's..

before with the V4's and 580EXII's, i would get misfires, but with these it is like cheating ! really looking forward to this 2011 season..

a total of 5 lights were used for this shot

1 back lighting was AB1600 with 60 inch softlighter with an orange gel, camera left for the orange glowing look

2 key lighting on Vivek was Elinchrom Quadra with deep octa about 5 feet away held by dad @ 3.0 power boomed downwards

3-4 also had 2 speed lights on the rims held by my japanese Co Workers at Subaru Research Design, (Koga and Kubo - San) they tagged along to see the Car of course.

5 AB1600 with red gel with shoot thru to light up camera right @ full power

alien bees and the speed lights were triggered by triggered by the New Cactus V5's

elinchrom triggered by the sky port, but skyport was sitting on top of the Cactus V5 that was already on top of the camera..

CameraCanon EOS 5D Mark II

For the SB-600, set standby function from "Auto" to "--------" in the custom functions (p.53 of the manual (external link)).

I just order two cactus V5 duo's for my new strobist setup! I'm really excited to have more than 1 light... Hopefully these show up by the end of the week so I can play with my new toys next weekend!

I was messing with mine yesterday trying to find a way to fire more strobes since I only have 4 of the cactus v5s and what I did was take my rf-602 transmitter and put it in the hotshoe of the v5 and then I can fire my 602's at the same time.

can you tell any difference in timing between the systems? I'm guessing no.

Hi Farrukh,
I'm from KHI, Pakistan and I love your work specially that video "From East to West".

Just need to know about ordering from gadgetinfinity to Pakistan. Do we have to pay some custom duty as well?

regards,
Imran Ali Dina.
