Just ordered a Duo set and a remote shutter cord.
Paid for express shipping. $22 from Hong Kong to Michigan in 36 hours is not bad at all!

Canon 30D, 40D, 17-55mm f/2.8, 50mm f/1.8, 430EX, strobist stuff.https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=888751

Good idea, mine arrived like 2 days shy of a full month. Guess some Chinese celebration delayed it a week.

I was messing with mine yesterday trying to find a way to fire more strobes since I only have 4 of the cactus v5s and what I did was take my rf-602 transmitter and put it in the hotshoe of the v5 and then I can fire my 602's at the same time.

Great Idea, just tried it with my cactus v2s and works, guess I buy more flashes and stands now....

I ordered these Saturday night at midnight, and Fedex is showing they are sitting on my doorstep-- That's less than two business days! I can't wait to go home and play....

that is one way of firing both systems.. the other is have one on top and one to the side.. connected to the pc sync..

when i do weddings in dark receiption halls, i have a speed light on top to help with auto focus assist and the V4's on the side..

i have to do the same with the V5's on the side again unfortunatly the auto assist doesn't come up with the V5's in the hot shoe and a speed light in the hot shoe of the V5.. bummer

Pham I was just going to ask if af assist works on top of the v5 on top of the camera. Stinks that it doesn't :(

shure does stinks.. but if you look at the cactus v5 connectors (pins) there is only one pin so i figured it wasn't going to activate auto focus

darn it ! even my flex tt pocket wizards can't get the speed lights to work on top of my 5dmkII.. i was shocked at that too..

I got mine yesterday, too, and I am really loving these!

I was a little too anxious when I ordered mine and forgot to order the remote shutter cable :(

Ya know, I haven't really used mine for remote shutter...I still use my Phottix remote for that, not sure why, but just do.

Also got my V5's in yesterday with the remote shutter cable. Ordered on 2/19, got it on 3/1 in SoCal via USPS.

My first impression was that they were ALOT smaller than they appeared on the site.

Got about 90% reliability last night within at 3.5ft & 1/200s, didn't get a chance to play around with other channels though so I'm sure it'll get better.

Just ordered mine. But what's up with the 90%? That's not good at all, IMO. Maybe it's your flash not cycling fast enough?

Within 3.5' is the key.
