My first impression was that they were ALOT smaller than they appeared on the site.

I had no idea what size they were, but I was shocked by their size. My v2 is way smaller, but is only a transmitter. I haven't had any misfires yet.

Pretty sure it wasn't the recycle. I believe I took no more than 18 shots and it misfired twice so this isn't really a good representation of how it's gonna function.

With anything RF, frequency interference is gonna come into play among other variables and I didn't really have enough time to play with another channel(I really only had time to set it up, take 18 shots then tear my equipment down). For all I know, the Navy was doing their fairly routine test jamming of a certain frequencies(They jammed the frequency for garage door openers and car alarm remotes once and it made the news in San Diego).

Anyway, I'm almost certain they're gonna work WAY better than my initial "test" once I give them adequate attention.

Yeah. i had the same situation earlier couple of times.
I can`t understand - what is the problem - to call by phone just before come to our homes...

Write a note and leave it on your front door. That's what I did--

"Mr Fedex guy, please leave my package at the doorstep"

Then I signed and dated it.

It worked!

The delivery guys wont drop anything here anymore. Even things that dont require a signature I have to be home to receive.

Both UPS and FedEx has lost high value, time sensitive items for me. Ive had one off wheels disappear twice.

But I have to be home tomorrow to receive my 50L from B&H anyway.

I wish these worked TTL........

I've tried it with my point & shoot camera at 1/500s. (max shutter speed) and it did work.

Based on my timing measurements it should work to 1/1000s.
It adds a delay of 725 micro-seconds.

Ok for some reason my SB-600 will not fire off this. My Canon 430EX II and Sunpak do flawlessly... Is there a setting I'm missing for the SB? I read the manual and it doesnt address triggers just slave or using with SB-800. Thanks...

It's working fine with my SB600 and my SB900.

I did remember reading something about the SB600 going into auto-standby mode and waking it up created a small hiccup.

When I first attached the unit it would fire sometimes now it just doesnt do it... going to play wiht different settings in hopes.


It seems I might need a sync cable and thus a hot shoe adapter for the SB-600... for 25 bucks more I might as well get a YN 460II that doesnt need the extra cable...

I'm a bit disappointed with the banding issue. I purchased them cause I read somewhere at their site that the Banding issue was fixed, well its not. I'm getting this fade banding even at 200 where the v4 worked well.
This are my first triggering system, Is this something that happens with all brands? Does this happens also with the Pocket Wizards or is it just the Cactus systems?

This is using it with 5DMKII
