I'm a bit disappointed with the banding issue. I purchased them cause I read somewhere at their site that the Banding issue was fixed, well its not. I'm getting this fade banding even at 200 where the v4 worked well.
This are my first triggering system, Is this something that happens with all brands? Does this happens also with the Pocket Wizards or is it just the Cactus systems?

This is using it with 5DMKII

Might be returning them or post them at Classifieds, :(

I think its the 5d2.. if im not mistaken the 5dII is known to have banding issues at 1/200

I'm not the only one howeve not seeing an answer:

When I first attached the unit it would fire sometimes now it just doesnt do it... going to play wiht different settings in hopes.

It seems I might need a sync cable and thus a hot shoe adapter for the SB-600... for 25 bucks more I might as well get a YN 460II that doesnt need the extra cable...

Bummer. I hope this doesn't end up affecting all SB600s. I've only had my triggers for a few days now so I guess time will tell if I have to ditch the SB600 and pick up some YNs.

Just drop your shutter speed to 160 and your good. UNless your ambient light is wicked bright you will never see the difference anyway.

I remember zack arias having problems at 1/200 with PW on the 5d2.. so im sure its just the 5d2.. its no biggie though, you can crop alot and still retain really good detail with that 21.1 megapixels. If you want to be super safe, 1/125th is the best.

Do the supplied PC sync cords seem extra loose to anyone else?

Yeah, but what do you expect for cheap PC cords? I would use a screwlock cord personally.

Is there a 2xPC to 1x1/8" mono cable that would allow me to trigger 2 YN-560 (if I ever get them delivered......) with one V5?

Chu Pham, do you have a solution to mounting the V5 (synced to camera via PC-sync cord like we discussed on the last page) to the camera?

I just my triggers today....I knew I should have paid the extra $$ for fedex...

I did a couple test shots with a 580 EX II, and they sync perfectly fine at 1/200 second. when I upped my 5D II to 1/250 second, I started getting a small black shadow on the bottom portion of the frame.

I'm using them via the hot-shoe, and not the sync cord.

does it matter whether it is hotshoe or sync? or will the black shadow popup only on hotshoe at 1/250 but not with sync.
