Also he said they were very flimsy compared to his Cowboy triggers, but this leads me to believe that he is talking about an older version, but who knows. He swears they were V5's

Is Gadget Infinity the only place to buy this trigger?

I'd say yes... I've never seen them available by a third party retailor like B&H.

For example: cameranu.nl (europe)

I bought it.
I didn't test it yet the 'remote shutter mode', but it will work better than RC-6 because cactus will work out of line of sight and at greater distances.

I got it too. It works well enough. Make sure to order the correct one for your camera.

As mentioned, the RC-6 is line of sight. I haven't checked on actual distance but it's spec'd at 100 m/328 ft.

There are YouTube vids showing the V5 as a wireless shutter:

I have a $30 wireless remote I use instead. Cheaper and works just as well. I keep the Cactus on my flashes.

Having a separate wireless remote can work with the V5's as an option. And this has the advantage of freeing up the V5's for flashes as stated by DM1975.

If you're ordering a pair or more, the wireless shutter cable (which is used with the V5) is another $10+shipping cost. It's not a bad thing to have though. ;)

Thanks all guys. I rather buy stuff from US instead of international. At least I can return them if something is wrong

Thats a good question, but I don't think they will. Not sure on this though.

Hmm, I wonder if anyone has tried this. I've been looking around and can't find anything either way.

if you're looking to use a PW as a trigger to the V5 as a receiver and vice versa, it won't work. They won't be able to communicate.

if you're looking to use the V5 and the PW at the same time, and use appropriate receivers (V5 trigger to V5 receiver, PW trigger to PW receiver), then it'll work by having either one of them mounted on the hot shoe, and the other on the PC sync port.
