I quite like the first image, though the pole at the center is a bit distracting. Really unavoidable for this frame though. I like the play of warm light in the foreground and trees and the smooth gradient sky. The image is reminiscent of infrared photography.
The cropped images don't particularly stand out, honestly. I know what I'm looking at but I don't quite follow the story if there was one to begin with. But they do invoke the feel of nature's 'colder' side, and that's always pleasing to me.
