As scene from atop the Capitol Building. An 8 shot pano of +/- 5 EV each, roughly 180 degrees. Click the pic a bit more detail.

Looks like we're playing tag with our comments. I really like this one. The only negative I can see is some very minor haloing around the building in the center.

I know you didn't take this series with your new camera as it must still be 'in the shop'...right?

Correct on both points :) Since I didn't have the tripod, I couldn't use it for this opportunity.

I'm anticipating getting it back from Canon the week after Christmas.

Here's another take on the same shot. This time towards sunset vs the OP near sunrise. I was very lucky to get permission to get up there to take these, but unfortunatley, was restricted on the times. Another hour earlier/later would have made a huge difference. This one is made up of quite a few more bracketed shot. Approx. 8 each setup, and up to 14 for the ones looking in the sun.

I like the second more than the first. I think the effect that the pano had on the clouds in the first is too distracting for my tastes.

I like the second image best too Jon. I think the sun is working better for you and the sky looks better too (not that you had much control over that. :D )

These were an experiment which I feel has mixed results. All in all probably not worth the time put into them, but I learned a bunch as the results were unexpected. Thanks for your comments.
