For those who has a 5DII, do you do micro-adjustments with the Zeiss 21mm when using it?
I haven't done it. But I am wondering if its worth the time to do it.

Well I don't have a Zeiss lens, yet but I have tried MA some Canon FD lenses and it actually turned them into the most accurate and fastest focusing lenses I have ever seen much faster and accurate than Canon EF lenses with USM....

I doubt that will happen with the Zeiss, as it's a manual focus lens. :D

If AF Confirm is giving you consistently the same wrong answer, I guess it could work.

If you use EG-S screen then nope, no point doing MA. Unless you are MAing your EYE.

I checked mine when I rented the Lens Align. The AF Confirm was dead on.

If you can't get in-focus 21ZE shots you have your head where it doesn't belong. It's hard to take out of focus shots with it, unless you're shooting at 2.8 with close subjects, which is not it's intended purpose.

The 21 has enough DOF to pretty much eliminate focus confirmation all together. Sharp as a tack and easy to focus. Great lens.

Calibrating MA will work correctly with MF lenses like Zeiss ZE lenses. As noted above it calibrates the focus confirm feature, which lights up when holding down the AF back button and turning the focus ring.
Obviously for a manual focus lens, Live View 5-10X is much, much more accurate than focus confirm, and thats the comparison that should be used to set MA.

So much so I will no longer purchase adapters with focus confirmation. It's a complete waste of money.

I agree. No need to MA a lens if you use LV.
