I was at the park and spotted this guy, anyone know the name?

Looks like an Egyptian Goose. There are a number of these escaped from wildfowl collections and now breed in the wild

I'll second what you said, it's an african bird also found about the nile valley. It's introduced to a few places around the world now, it's name Alopochen Aegyptiacus - Egyptian Goose is a part of the tribe of Shield ducks.

Nice captures of it Mike, well done.
