I am in the market for some portrait software for either CS5 and/or LR 3

The above 2 products come to mind and I have both in trial. Portrait Professional in much cheaper than Imagenomic and you seem to have much more control over the face than the other.

Therefore I am leaning toward Portrait Professional for a purchase.

However I would like some opinions on these 2 products before I buy.

The results are impressive for both products.

Cheers

I played around with Imagenomic for a bit but just don't like the results from plug-in's I just prefer to do it by hand.

Yes I can do it by hand but find these are faster and when doing a lot its helpful.

Also does anyone know of any coupon codes for these products?

i've never used the other one, but i have portrait professional and it's great. most definitely worth the money. just be cautious. the auto settings are pretty extreme, unless you're going for the porcelain doll look in all your photos.

They're both good but I find PP better, for me. The results seem to be retain texture better. I find that IP can exeggerate skin texture and it's hard to get a good balance. Also, easily brushing on different settings onto the image within the plugin is a good feature of PP. The face stuff I haven't used to any extent but I have used it. It can be usefull.

IP, if you are interested in pretty much a one button solution. PP if you want a bit more control.

Someone that has used both more than I have can offer a better opinion.

Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.
