Yeah, #1 is just about my all-time favorite as well.

It a toss up between that and these for my favorite:

I like the kid in #2. Great expression & attitude, but he's too young to have bags under his eyes, & you need some more time learning how to clone walls.
The guy in #3 looks stunned, & there's a pole growing out of his head.
I can't think of anything good to to say about #1. Maybe if you had told us why you took it?

Are you the reason all our spray paint cans are under lock and key out here?

I like #2 and #3. Nothing wrong with #1, just not my cup of tea (or rustoleum as the case may be). Nice work.

That tattooed lady is still better though.

The significance of #1 is that this was taken the day before an old water treatment plant was torn down. In Cowlumbus, Ohio there were three old abandoned locations that were literally art galleries filled with the most amzing graffiti art. And it was truly art. This was the last of the 3 places. And this was one of it's last days before it was torn down. these cans are VERY old!!

It is actually an HDR image. I HATE hate hate most HDR, but I spent hours making this appear natural (like the way my eyes viewed it in person). I refuse to use HDR programs like Photomatix, as they come out looking cheesy. I did this in CS3 over about 4 hours.

There was a line going up the wall that i cloned out. What did I do wrong? The base board looks like it has a little step in it. That isnt from processing.

In number three, he was just being silly, he wanted to look serious. I wanted the photo to be an odd juxtapostion between carefree childrens toys and a serious businessman in a suit.

I like the second and third the best and think that number one could be best used for say a story on graffiti or stock photos rather than just art per se. (IMHO)

The edge of the baseboard is on the same focal plane all the way across. The sudden blurring strikes me as odd and distracting.

On this one you really needed some fill flash, which would have allowed
a smaller aperture, which in turn would have dimmed the background.
As shot, the dark subject gets lots against the bright background.

OK. As Peano said, it's distracting.

I am confused In this post and one I previously viewed, you state how you make HDR images and spend hours trying to make them look Not HDR. It seems your going around the block to get to the house next door. Image #1 is a good image, But i dont get why it was doen the HDR way. It seems Like a good capture. a single frame. Now If it was a rescue from ten frames that all looked like dirt i could see that, but o go thru thHDR proces just to get a simple image I dont Understand?!?. Also I think the focus is a little shallow, it seems to be right in front of the cans. One more thing, If you showed them in context against one of the fantastic graffiti walls i think it would make more sense.

Tattoo girl is an awesome capture, I would be interested in seeing her with just the flowers and tats in color.

First step........ Take the lens cap off.
