Glasses or contacts? Which is easier when shooting?

This is likely a no brainer, but never having to use any kind of corrective lenses I wanted to get some advice.

I'm going to get my eyes checked out soon as I feel my vision has decreased somewhat. Should I go with contacts (I would think so) or regular glasses? Or does either make any difference when shooting?

I can't shoot with my glasses on, so I always put in my contacts.

I hate shooting with my glasses but I don't have contacts so it's not an option for me.

+1. I use the eyepiece extender which helps some otherwise my view of the view finder is not complete.

I can't shoot with my glasses either. Contacts all the way for me and I'm hoping to get an operation in a few years so that I can say goodbye to that as well.

But I didn't switch to contact lenses just for photograhpy though. I'm a horsewoman and riding with glasses is not practical so I've been using contacts for years. I don't know if I would have made the move to contacts just for photography though. Probably wouldn't have started photography at all.

I don't like wearing contacts for a long time so I wear my glasses when I'm not riding or taking pictures.

I use glasses. It might just be your type of vision problem that determines if glasses will work for you or not while shooting.

no question here - contacts... not sure what i'd do without them. I have shot with glasses a few unfortunate times... leads to headaches and tilted crops!

I use contacts as much as possible but if I have to I will wear my glasses its just that they get smudges on them and makes it hard to see even when I clean them. I am very fussy with glasses and I like having clear vision which doesn't happen with my glasses.

I use my glasses without a problem. If I feel they start to get in the way (they do get smudged, I usually have to clean them once during an 8 hour day) and I'm auto-focusing I can easily push them down a little with the camera.

I have used glasses for years, used to use contacts, didn't note a difference.

I spent $3,000 on laser eye surgery in 2008, and it was the best money I ever spent on anything. My vision wasn't that bad. I could see ok without my glasses, but after the surgery, I noticed a huge improvement in my overall vision and my depth perception especially. The world suddenly looked 3D. I didn't realize what I was missing.
Photographers invest thousands in their gear. But IMHO, don't be afraid to invest in the most important lenses of all-- your eyes! You won't regret it. (I realize not everyone is a candidate for laser surgery.)

Laser surgery can restore depth perception?!? Why would my eye docter not tell me this, I've never been able to perceive depth, I wonder what it's like...

I wear glasses, I can't put contacts into my eyes.

I've been considering surgery, but I don't want to be that statistic that it goes wrong on.. So I've been waiting it out for a while.

I've been shooting with glasses on both still and motion cameras for over 40 years, I tried contacts for about 4 months but didn't like them.
