Sunpak ring-light on 20D?

I was digging through some boxes in the basement that had a bunch of my older photographic things, and "found" my old Sunpak autoDX 8R ring-light strobe. I have had this for years and used to use it with my 35mm Nikons. It has TTL, Auto and Manual settings.

Does anyone have any idea if it's safe to try this on my 20D?

Being an older flash unit it more than likely has a pretty high sync voltage. The 20D is rated for 250V I believe, but to be on the safe side I would only use that flash with a Wein Safe Sync adapter.

Thanks for the suggestion Wolf. I just put that on my wish list for my next B&H order. $50 is a lot less than a new ring light, and a LOT less than a new 20D.
