Not the most colorful of birds. But she's cute!!;)
Looks like she has been into the blackberries.
Just trying out my new 20D--100-400 L-- 1/160sec. 400mm ISO 1600

Great shot.. I really like the pose..

Seems those purple finches always have dirty beaks.. At least the ones around my place do :)

Nice ... I really like this shot. I don't (in general) like to see man-made objects in wildlife images, but it really works in this one. Well done.

But you know what?
It is a house finch.
Bummer-I have had a pair of real nice purples here--so I just assumed that was what this is but, they are very similar--and this one is a house finch.
