Scott second looks better to me as well but I think the lighting makes it look a bit surreal with it coming through the tail and wing.

Nice shot, if you do head over that way I would be interested as well

Cheers Adrian, I think it's the backlighting that makes it for me. :D

i use this http://www.irfanview.com/ (external link) but i need a better way..
can you do it in LR?

Interesting. When you add the borders, are you effectively chopping off some of the top and bottom of the shot to keep the same aspect ratio or just increasing the overall size?

im just adding more to the overall size...i tend to crop the pics quite tightly though so there's not too much difference

Evening all just back from Wembleys hockey finals...

Some cracking images posted, crazy to see a Sparrow Hawk in a garden!

Here's a few pics from todays action, most of these were at ISO 2500 so I could maintain shutter speeeds at F/2.8!!!

I'm fairly happy with them considering the tough lighting.

Shots look good here too rich, amazing to think they're shot at iso 2500!

Still can't get over the sparrowhawk, I do know a few people who've had them in their gardens, but further north... I'm hoping he sticks around...

Saw some great graffiti today too...

then everyone scarpered... this guy arrived, my first bird of prey in the garden...

...

QUOTED IMAGE

Nice use of the glass :) Could do with being a bit brighter though. What do you think?
