Thanks! My mom really liked that one too, she wants to print it off. I guess she's got some weird interior design going on that would suit a print of that shot ;)

Other pics from Sat were just ok. This one was my shot for the day:

How do you get the side blur on this shot ... I saw it on your St Pauls shot too ... is that pp or something you do at the time??

Awww

In case you missed my reply to your comment, I use Topaz InFocus (external link) to sharpen a lot of images these days. The one you mentioned was done using it as well.

Not a daft question :) It's done in camera using the tilt-shift lens. Both of those images were shot with a bit of shift and a lot of tilt (the tilting is what gives the single plane of focus bit)

WOW - I guess you need to start with a failry crisp image, but that is a stand out shot, what does Topaz need to work with or does it stand alone?

It may be able to run as a stand alone, but I've got it happily running in photoshop as a normal filter. I also really like Topaz Adjust (external link).

lol. I'm just hoping that with enough bokeh people won't notice I'm shooting rubbish ;)

hehe, yea. There's a bit of redundancy on that end isn't there? It's why I was considering selling the 24-70.
