Ahh bugger. Work just announced they're closing the site by the end of 2012. Time to go job hunting...

Oh no, that's not good news, I know a lot of people who work there, not good. Not good for Sandwich either :(

Sorry mate, but as Lee said you've got a year and a bit to find a new spot. Not ideal, but it could be worse!

Are they offering incentive bonuses to stay? I can imagine they'll find a lot of people changing jobs asap now that they've said that ...

Best of luck with exploring new opportunities

that sucks, on the plus side you've got some notice... what is it you do Dennis? it's (somekindof) engineering isn't it?

I'm a chemical engineer so can find another job with other companies outside of Pfizer.

You're half correct - I'm not a scientist ;)

Thanks for the comments guys. The latest is that for my line at least they are trying to find a 3rd party vendor to take us over so that we'll be doing the same job and projects, but essentially outsourcing ourselves back to the company. Not sure what that means but we've been told we're safe until mid year and possibly end of 2011 at least, which is something. Not sure exactly how the other lines are affected but we'll get that in due course.

Hi hi!

Our photos from our recent trip to UK will be slowly coming online.

Yesterday Katrina posted some photos and wrote a poem from our engagement:

We've also decided to rent out an industrial unit and convert it to a studio with office space. A big challenge, and some expense, but will give us the option to shoot indoors when the weather's not too flash outside!

Great shots and great Poem Wazza. Congratulations too. Where will the studio be based?
