Ok, ta for that. Don't have lightroom but will look into it.

They work in all Photoshop products i.e. CSxxxx, Elementsxxxx, Lightroomxxxx, Corelxxx, PaintShop Proxxxx, and several others.

When you do this make sure you test it at different focal lenghts. Your camera will remember each lens you set in it's own memory. So when you change lenses it will automatically adjust. This also works with 3rd Party lenses as well.
You should have +/- 20 adjustments. Take you shots 5 increments apart and then view them. I sugest manual focus at this stage. Then when you have wittled it down take another 10 shots at 1 increment steps. Make sure you view them at 100%.
2 of my lenses are +12 so don't panic if the adjsutments seem way out.
Hope this helps.

This would defeat the purpose of testing the cameras auto-focusing, it needs to be done using auto-focus :)

I have amended it, having a stupid moment, thanks for pointing it out. I had to do it the other day with my 7D. Weird because I never had any problems with my 30D. Still there is progress for you.

lol! Not to worry, I just didn't want anyone to try this with manual focus and think 'well, it's perfectly focused at every micro adjust stage. It must not do anything at all!' :)
