I'm here, just keep popping in now and again.
I've just cooked up the last of the beef, in a chilly crispy stir fry type thing. I'm not sure I've done a very good job of it though. never mind, it will wash down well with some more cider.

Evening folks, I'm back from a very cold and snowy Wales! :D

Hope everyones ok?

Glad no one was hurt in the oven skirmish Matt!

I've not taken any pics, but got some lovely photography books as gifts - I'm looking forward to a trip to York the day after tomorrow, need to remember how to use my camera before new years days wedding! :D

What's everyone been up to?

I havnt done much with my new grip yet, as its too bloomin cold. Went out to find this all over the car yesterday. It took half an hour of running to defrost the car.

Its good to hear of everyones gifts for crimbo. I also got a Cokin P series holder and some filters, but no fitting rings (Bless Her) :) But im well pleased. I might setup the tripod and remote trigger tomorrow, as we have Blue tits in the nesting box in my garden. Ive seen them a couple of times a day.

You have to think in layers. Get that, you are on your way. CSx is a lot of flaffing around in my view. I prefer Lightroom- simpler and when LR can't fix it, it is over to CSx to finish off. There are loads of tutorials on the net to explore.

Have fun.

Tis quiet in here today obviously people are still off work :)

Quick question, I am looking to replace my 17-85 kit lens that came with the 40d when I had it, do canon or anyone else make an L quality lens with the same focal length or very close?
