 alright then, yes the 100-400 IS. All I need now is the 7D and if memory serves me right with 2 "L" lens I could ask for CPS membership ;)

FWIW Kerso has the 7D for £999 and says that with his UK invoice Elstree will honour the warranty.....just wonder if anyone has bought a body from him and needed Canon to work on it???

Big congrats Laurence, I know you've been after that lens for a while!

I've not bought a body from Kerso, but I've heard nothing but excellent feedback I'm sure he's true to his word!

I would not doubt, but the likes of HDEW also sell Grey imports and I surmise sell with a UK invoice but their bodies are either sent back to HK or serviced locally under a 3rd party warranty contract????

As for the lens, yes been a long time waiting just need to get my mitts on it and take some pictures :D Likely the garden birds in the first instance ~ the Siskin would be nice to capture?

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

Crumbs, I do hope "they" made it really worth your while stay and take the stress of these sort of trips on business!!!

I won't starve :)

Congrats on the new purchase - you'll love the flexibility of that lens.

Absolutely, I have hired it a few times for both airshows & wildlife but having spent someting like >£200 of those hirings (granted over a 3 year period) I decided I needed to buy but when was the question..........time was now :D

Just hope I get a sharp copy ;)

Just looking forward to the Wovles on the 2nd April :D

7D is a big improvement and to have two bodies for the wolves would be perfect;):p:p

I did, but then I'm really really really fussy regarding welfare and motives etc. I'm sure 99% of the folk on the trip I went on thought it was fabulous.

Quick question???

I also ordered earlier this evening a Hoya Pro1 Digital MC Protector filter ~ have the same on my other L, used Amazon marktplace merchant Camera King. Now unlike me  I then decided to punt around for reviews of this supplier and to say the least they do not seem to be very complimentary :( Their rating on Amazon is damn near 100%

So has anyone here used them and in your opinion were they OK to deal with???
