Hi there guys, hope everyone is doing well.

Anothe great "Band of Brothers" set there!

I just wanted to let you guys know my wife is in hospital. It's nothing life threatening, but she'll be in there for a while to come. So, naturally, I'll be spending as much time as I can with her.

So, if you see any of my status updates on Facebook that might not make sense, they probably will now!! :D

Hope she is better soon mate.. Send our love!

Nice pictures it amazes me how the iso performance has improved over the years

New bag has arrived ( well new to me anyway ) and finally sold my 300 which is good as I bought the 70-200 a while ago and it is meant to be funded by this sale.

Hope the wife gets sorted out Pete.

It was dark last night in there so ISO2000 was required to get a decent shutter at 2.8.

Well went to Richmond Park this morning.

Saw the Kingfisher dive and catch a fish and bash it to death but it was in the distance and 1/400 at 800mm just wasn't good enough in the scramble to get set up lol

Best of the rest

Thanks guys. We're hoping for a smooth recovery as well. It's most probably going to be a long recovery process, and she's going to have to learn how to be cared for.

She's got a condition called Hydrocephalus (you'll probably want to wiki it). She doesn't have the more severe symptoms and the good thing is that we've caught it early and she's in one of the best neuro clinics in the country.

Here is the KF fail! 800mm and its still miles away! We hadn't really set up, we saw a flash of blue, I nearly tripped up and smashed my lens, I'm sure someone has pics ;)

Still pretty cool though. There's not many native British birds that raise the heart-beat quite as much as seeing a Kingfisher flash past.

I hope the Mrs Pete gets well soon.

Croking bee Lee.

I had a little play with today and this would of been easier with a model as getting the timing right was not easy so I apologise for these looking a bit odd as it was not easy to hold the powder in my had press the shutter release and get ready to clap before the timer ran out. So what I want to know is the concept good and which works best colour or black and white?
