Thanks guys. We're hoping for a smooth recovery as well. It's most probably going to be a long recovery process, and she's going to have to learn how to be cared for.

She's got a condition called Hydrocephalus (you'll probably want to wiki it). She doesn't have the more severe symptoms and the good thing is that we've caught it early and she's in one of the best neuro clinics in the country.

Do not forget that you need to look after yourself during and after she comes out of hospital..........rooting for both of you.

B&W for me Dom, adds to the abstract nature of it... I've seen this doen somewhere recently also, I suspect a willing volunteer to either press the shutter or make a mess with talcum powder would make it easier! :D

I hope the Mrs Pete gets well soon.

Croking bee Lee.

I had a little play with today and this would of been easier with a model as getting the timing right was not easy so I apologise for these looking a bit odd as it was not easy to hold the powder in my had press the shutter release and get ready to clap before the timer ran out. So what I want to know is the concept good and which works best colour or black and white?

An interesting project ~ I think the subdued tones in #2 and the #3 B&W do look very promising.

@ Rob ~ as usual a nice set with slightly aged look, see if you can find a preset to mimic "autochrome" colours, might add to the "look"??? Oh, a pity in some you have cropped/chopped off legs :(

@ Ian ~ green woodpecker rules this time and a pity about the KF, I have no doubt you get a killer image one day ;)

All the other regulars were posing today at the BWC...

I tried to do something a little different here, as the Fox was so close to the fence...

Thanks Laurence :)

With regards to autochrome - do you have examples of what you mean?

I have the legs in most of the orginal files - i have just cropped for the 21:9 widescreen ratio and sacrificed the legs. Been studying a lot of film recently and there are so many instances where main scenes have legs chopped off or even the tops of heads - came as quite a shock to me!

Dom - i really like the first shot - it looks more "explosive" if that makes sense?

I like this one Lee you've got just enough fence without distracting from the fox.

Rob I'm trying for the explosive look, these two were the best out of about 30 go's at it, really need someone to do the clapping so I can concentrate on the photography.

I've done a B+W of the first one I think I've pushed the black a tad to much though.

Ian I was just about to change it for this though I'm still not happy with it but it might just be my eyes.

Still to dark for me, I also think the focus is on the arms rather than the fingers which isn't helping you.

That's good Ian as I thought so as well, but when I lighten I get a line where my sleeves end and I was aiming to loose that if you understand what I mean.

Some super shots here in the last day or so. Love the WW2 pics, great Stranglers pics. LOVE the woodpecker - and I think the Kingfisher is great even though it's not quite what you wanted. Nice fox through the fence too. Mum has some tame foxes - she can hand feed them - must go round there with my camera one day soon. No photos for me today, dog training all day - very successful day loads of huge improvements from some really difficult dogs.

I hope Mrs Pete improves soon.
