I like it, but its a bit long :)

These were the first ones i looked for. But i didnt know if i needed something that was obviously related to photography.

Ones ive come up with are

Photo-Sabotage (Random word from flicking through dictionary)

Slapheadyeti

Digital-Porthole (But i think it may have been taken)

Neutron-Photo

Digital-Aurora

Photo-Fission

Digital-fission

I would say it depends on what your taking photos of and why ?
Some of the above might put people off.
I know it's boring, but what about wsphotography, or ws-photography ?

All the sites associated with my name or initials are taken. Im most in favour of Digital-Fission at the moment.

The ads all show a 70-200 2.8 in the case and it fits lovely, but minus the hood and tripod mount, which everyone has, and then it doesn't fit at all. Very disappointing.

I got a large and small lens case, a lens exchange, a utility bag and a filter pouch. Very comfortable to wear I give it that.

I've got a Lenscase2 for my 70-200 F4, and while the depth is perfect it's fugging tight with the lens hood on and the lens seems to rattle round in there with it off. Got a Tamrac MAS MX5378 for the 17-40 which is nice though doesn't feel as strong in the shaping as the Lowepro, still well padded though. Using the Sigma EX cases for the Sigma lenses (downside to those is having to feed the belt through rather than velcro the case to the belt). Need to get me some pouches for flashes though.

I should just use the Canon lens cases that came with the lenses, much better.

:( not allowed to buy anything else for a while :(

however, on my list - another speedlight, a light meter, a white and a grey colorama and stands.

Do you need a grey background? Surely you can save your expense and just use white and change the background lighting level or the distance of the subject from the background to use the light drop off to your advantage ( inverse square law etc).

Im going to but a proper set of stands and some white seamless when i move to my new flat - have enough space to make a large infinity wall, although it wont be a permanent fixture :( Will just have to hide the gear behind the sofa when not in use.

Very nice! seems like a nice alternative to the Dakine Mission photo now that that has been discontinued.

I love my mission pack but i always find myself over loading it. This looks slightely smaller, but i like the top pocket section and the straps look more comfortable.

Must. Not. Buy. More. Bags..........

Anyone else coming to the David Noton talk tomorrow? Adrian has a spare ticket i think - should be bloody awesome, and will hopefully get me interested in using my Lee filters again!

( despite the scratch on my 0.6 soft grad - fecking sand at Donna Nook grrrr!)

Speaking of new gear, what do people use for OCF? I've spotted this from WEX (external link) but not sure if I need the umbrella and would be better off buying the stand and softbox.

I use manfrotto/avenger/Mathews grip

This is pretty much my speedlite setup

There are cheaper options available, it just depends on what you want.

I have another LR question :D

Because I initial was "Importing" the images on the HDD it simply(?) ingested them as is i.e. RAW and JPEGs but when I connect the card reader the default is to convert to DNG, now though DNG is supposed to be 'open source' I have been used to seeing my CR2 RAWs etc

So the question is, is there a setting I have missed where you can import from card as the native RAW......for the life of me I cannot see such a tick box??? In respect of the DNG file type what are your thoughts and do you indeed take it as given (if LR cannot be set to import as CR2) that you will in future always work with DNG ??? I suppose it the rebel in me that says do not force me to use what "you" (software developers) want.

Not a rant honest, just still learning how this new workflow 'works' ;)

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

buy/borrow/steal Genuine Fractals. It is an excellent bit of software for upsizing images with the minimum of quality loss. Made by onOne.
