I went out birding today at Pulborough Brooks. Chiffchaffs to be seen and heard every. Lots of smaller bird activity there today with some Sand Martins and Swallows back

Firs time I have managed to get close enough for some Chiffchaff pics and this little cutie was the closest I have ever got to one. Just a couple from a selection of pics that I took.

thanks for the kind comments about the fisheye lens, it does make for some unusual shots! I'll try not to drown you all in the resulting shots!

Linda those bird photos are lovely - the Blackcap in Blossom is especially delightful!

& it looks like the Wolf day was a great success, perhaps a review of the centre when you get a moment Laurence?

I forgot I also managed some sleepy Ferret shots... (not quite Weasels, but close JD!)

wow - you really got a good shoot with her (I think it's a Queen) didn't you! really great detail - was it just a macro lens or did you use some extension tubes?

Thanks - yes, agree about the Blackcap but I only had the chance to fire off 3 shots when I spotted her so I am not too disappointed in the result

Awwwww Cute!

Lovely wasp macros, have seen a few bees around but no wasps yet???

Seeing them reminds me of a Sci Fi book called the Furies.....anyone else read that one. Not sure if they ever made a movie but if so it would be a Sci Fi horror one I surmise afterall with wasps as big people.....! agh!!!!!

I've seen plenty of bumble bees so far, this wasp fell onto the floor when I opened the blind on my landing...not sure how she got there!

Never heard of the Furies though...
