Thats cool, the kids loved it as well.

I've just been reading up on the PS3 hack thats been released, basically it's game over for PS3 security. All the private keys have been released, alowing any code to be run, should be some interesting homebrew apps appearing.

Interesting. I have noticed that they have put the SingStar Songs up to £1.15 from £0.99 too. Not happy about that.

Make sure you get something good so the first one you watch is awesome! :D

Oh and get some wildlife programmer too! Planet earth is ace!

Inception and Salt ... Wasn't much that I don't already have on DVD and am not yet in the market to replace my DVDs! So ... Will see how they look/sound on the new player :-)!! what I'm also really impressed with is that I have plugged in a network cable and can watch iplayer without having to hook the laptop up!!! Easily pleased me!!

Thanks for the offer of film suggestions too ... I love action / adventure / sci-fi type movies ... Latest DVDs bought include A Team, the girl who played with fire, Taken, expendables ... Stuff like that .. So other suggestions welcome :-)

As I haven't had the camera out since before Christmas I took it out for on today's stroll the surfers were out again, they seem to be a hardy breed, one thing I noticed is that in most of the shots the focus was well out I can't decide weather it's my technique or the lens or both. I have a feeling it's me :confused:

Possibly camera shake? There does not look to be anything realy sharp in #1. 2 and 3 look sharper but if you take a look at the shots in DPP, double click an image and then select View->AF Point from the menu. That will show you what "should" be in focus.

Definitely camera shake is part of the problem I was at 300mm something with IS would help and not keeping up with the action while panning, hence why I said it was me for planks on water the move bloody quick.

I don't think it'#s focus, having just tried the same I would say it's camera shake, or just too slow shutter speed.

I was trying to maintain a shutter speed ?1/640 when shooting the surfers.

I other news, I'm trying to redesign my site after a major upgrade what somewhat rushed on me recently.

my site is here;
www.swaffs.co.uk (external link)

And this is a rough photoshopped idea for the hom page, and colour styles

This follows closely to the style of my blog as well

I have trouble on overcast days like today pushing the shutter speed that fast as my 450d doesn't like it. 1/400 was just to under exposed to use even at 800 iso.
