Not quite sure where today's gone...

Started at Richmond park before sunrise, saw lots of deer and lots of rutting, must get some practice in for next season?

Then moved onto Barnes, for a few hours not a lot of variety showing, but saw a nice great crested grebe and as I was leaving a bittern...

Good result! Stuffing the Scousers for us, always a nice feeling and to rub it in a dodgy pen and a red card! Couldn't ask for more ;)

if you do then I can lend you my new 2x TC mk3

Ive the same problem, I nearly bought a s/h 300 2.8 the other week but thought I better not as the wife would notice, I just need to convince her that I need it....

as for hiring one then im up for that, I would like to see how the mk3 TC performs on it, I had a play yesterday on my 300 f4 which made it a 600 f8, the focus was a tad slower in low contrast, but the light was crap so I need to have a better go hopefully tomorrow as im not at work....

Would be interesting to see how the x2 with your 70-200 compares picture wise and autofocus with the 300 f4

Me neither, they all seemed to be scrapping, I wondered if it was practice bouts as they weren't showing any interest in the hinds, the fallow were keeping a very low profile...
