Lovely shots, Lee.

thanks fella!

Crikey are they still fighting ~ I would have thought all the hinds are either impregnated or out of season by now???

Especially like these two, the B&W of the stag has nice light and that gives it (fairly) good isolation from the background. Might work better if you toned down the highlight in the foreground? As for back/side lit seed heads ~ very appealing :)

Thanks Laurence - I suspect the rutting is simply practice, as there weren't interested in the females and they just seemed like a bunch of guys larking around on a stag do (geddit!;):D)

I've updated the Folkestone Meet details in the first post. How many lucky people are going?

Sadly can't make this one ... am entertaining my Mum for her birthday

Morning all, Rather awesome London sunrise at the moment...... shame I had to work early and I'm suck in the office!

I saw it from the train - it was absolutely stunning!!

Didn't get my camera out all weekend :( but DID try out the new blu-ray player with Salt and Inception AND watched the first two Gordon Buchanen bear programmes on iPlayer through the blu-ray player ... am very easily pleased!! Very impressive sound / picture combo ...

And the bear programme is superb for anyone that didn't see it ... still time to catch up on iplayer if you're quick.

I can't make the Folkestone meet either as I am working that weekend :(

Is salt any good Clare? Must watch those bear episodes. I saw the last one after it was mentioned on here and I was captivated. What a lucky ( hard working) guy!

Salt is ace - switch off brain and hop on rollercoaster on action effects ride - well worth a watch IMO

Salt is actually pretty good, although Jolie doesn't look good with blonde hair!! hahaha! Fairly straight forward storyline ... although there were still a couple of surprising moments in it. Reckon I could watch it again which is a good sign I reckon.

I love watching programmes by Gordon Buchanen and Simon King. Did you see the Tiger programme a couple of months ago? Gordon in tears at realising his cameras at 4000m had captured images of tigers .. boy he's got the job of a lifetime hasn't he! Was lovely to see in the bear programme that his wife and 2 kids were able to join him - although I'm not sure his son will be following in his Daddy's footsteps .. his daughter showed more interest ... Definitely worth a catch up if you can see the other programmes Rob

here's a shot from yesterday, this chap was shooting Deer in the park with his (I'm guessing) Christmas Present (Nikon) DSLR with a short lens and pop up flash from at least 60 metres away... (bless him)

I thought that too...

I'm sure they're sub average - surely on board flash at 100 paces is a non starter...

We could do a search on flickr and see who else posted yesterday, although I suspect there were quite a few! Last weekend, Lee pointed out that one of Mrs TCIK's flickr contacts must have been standing next to me at the BWC as he had an identical shot to one of mine ... I explained that I knew exactly who had taken the shot, cos there had been a bloke who boldly walked and stood right in front of me as I was taking my shots!!
