Cool, somebody turn her skin more blue......

Even more blue? I thought she was already looking a bit down in the mouth...

Help. I must stop.

Many thanks!
Photoshop, not Gimp.

Did that do the trick? Was fun to do.

Oh geez Joe, my niece is just tickled to death about it and can't wait to incorporate that pic into her Christmas cards. She is actually an animal lover and is against shark killing. I don't know how to thank you, it certainly wouldn't be by doing something for you on Photoshop, that's for sure. She already put it on Facebook.

My pleasure, and I'm certainly getting a chuckle out of her enjoyment of it - it didn't take all that long, and as I said, was fun to do.

Now, this is the reason you really should consider learning Gimp or Photoshop (a bit easier to learn than Gimp, in my opinion) - look at all the fun you can have!

Better if you can have the lighting and backgrounds matching to start with - makes the editing much easier. Like this shot of me trying to show how my son is looking more and more like me every day:

Where do you start, is there a PDF manual that actually guides you as how to do something? As I mentioned earlier, I'm pretty comfortable with DPP and I know Gimp will be a challenge, but I do like challenges up to a point. I guess when you look at something that has a completely different layout kind of scares you away. When I bought my Canon printer they included the Arc Soft program and in the help section, the help was very basic, just identifying the tools but not how to use them. I uninstalled that program. Again Joe, thank you so much for your time and effort.

Actually I was more laughing when editing the photos. Chuckling away to myself on the computer, wife thought I was crazy until she saw the results. Another :)

GIMP has great online help (IMHO).

There are also several books for gimp... i.e. GIMP for Dummies :-) That will get you started.

(Not that you are a dummy or anything)

When at first you are intimidated, you feel like a dummy.

WOW, never thought of that... GIMP for Dummies... I've had GIMP installed for MONTHS but never touched it besides to make a "watermark". Just did a GIMP search on google and came up with Several things on Amazon for GIMP.
