Is there a way I can move a previous for sale post up to the front page so as to keep it fresh? I know you are not suppose to double post so I won't do that.

Has the TF retired? Or just being utterly lazy?

No such thing. Bumping does not exist in the sale forum.

You can post in your own B/S thread, but it won't move the thread to the top. Threads are sorted by the original posting date in the buy and sell forums. There is no bumping.

Actually, it does work. The first thing I do when I open the Sale Thread is click on the "Last Post" link on the top the page. All the posts are then resorted based on the latest activity. I then go down the list until I reach the point where I last logged in (8, 10, 12 hours ago).

This way I see any new posts, as well as any old posts with recent activity.

Under this method, I do see any recent bumps as they are reflected as new activity within the thread.

Using this method works best for me - YMMV.

Smacatl, I do that too! That way I can see if a seller reduces a price on something listed a while ago.

ONE THREAD PER ITEM IS ENOUGH. MULTIPLE THREADS WILL BE DELETED. PLEASE ALLOW FOUR WEEKS BEFORE REPOSTING.

NO PRICE POLICING OR PRICE COMMENTS ALLOWED. SUCH POSTS WILL BE DELETED

NO SUITABILITY COMMENTS ALLOWED. SUCH POSTS WILL BE DELETED.

Like all of POTN, MESSAGE BUMPING IS PROHIBITED

No Feelers. Feelers will be deleted without comment.

EACH ITEM THAT IS MEANT TO BE SOLD SEPARATELY SHOULD BE POSTED SEPARATELY

As always public negotiations, bidding, or counter offers are not allowed, use private communications.

They can ad all the comments they would like. The posts in the selling forum are listed by date and time of posting. Additional posts do not cause them to be re-sorted.

I belive I read that you can re-post after two weeks.

Thread bumping is not allowed anywhere on POTN. Doubly so in the MarketPlace. That is why the default thread sort order in For Sale is by thread start. Those of you that have discovered "Last Post" sort order are in on the secret. Of course it is a per user/per visit selection.

Answering pertinent questions or posting new information like a price change are not considered bumps. If one continues to blatantly bump their threads they will be subject to discipline.

Another point. Off topic posts and and price comments are not allowed and such posts will be deleted.
