I have been looking at buying a 70-200 2.8L IS USM lens lately, then I saw an 85mm 1.2 lens that had great results too, now I am confused. Your photo is fantastic, were you using the 70-200L IS USM lens in that shot??? Do you get great photos like the one you have shown us most of the time with that lens?? Thanks, Sharon.

WOW
That is one terrific picture. The detail is superb. Is it a zoo shot or is he in the wild? My guess is he was captive. How close were you to him? Keep up the good work man. I think that is one of the best eagle shots I've ever seen!

Wow guys, thanks for your awesome response to my image! Also thank you for your more than warm welcome, i really appreciate it.

This bird is (I'm sad to say) a captive bird, I live in the U.K and I think I'm right in saying we don't have these wild. They are beautiful bird and one of my favorite raptors.

This image was taken with a Canon EOS 20D in large JPEG (for some STOOOOPID reason i switched from RAW to large JPEG when swapping cards). It was shot with a Canon 70-200L F4 @ 200mm and F5.6.

This is another image from the same shoot (same bird I think) its called "coming in to land". This was also taken at 200mm with the same lens. Every single time I use 'burst' mode shooting i miss the focus, miss the shot and mess up the shot so i had to rely on good ol' fashioned timing for this shot.
