Finally got my chance to photograph a wood duck. Some bonus color from the reflection of the Japanese maple. Welcome c&c.

Very nice images. I have been wanting to get a wood duck image and apparently they are closer than I thought. The Botanical Gardens in Fort Worth is just a short drive for me.

I was shooting handheld but learned they want $75 to bring a tripod into the Japanese Tea Garden section. No charge for a monopod. Uh...knew things were bigger in Texas but that seemed a bit goofy to me.

Wow, thanks for the warning.

How about three monopods? ;) I suppose that it is to discourage people from setting up large tripods that block the walkways during the busy times.
