Your reply illustrates my meaning ... even if you profess not to understand it.

Okay so I'm assuming you're calling me stupid which I thought was possible but I didn't really see why you would be. Am I correct?

But remember your request in the OP.

They posted exactly as you asked.

Roughed-up, dazed and confused was my first impression.

I just mean him as a person, critiquing photos is what this is for.

Very nice. The lighting is nice, but not too harsh. Like said before, some one could put this to good use as an anti-bullying campaign.

Thanks Soda-Pop, I deffintely wanted harsh light -I used a bare speedlight for memory- but I didn't want huge shadows on the face so I kept it close to centered. I thought too soft lighting would have easyily ruined it, taken away some of the gritty feeling I guess.

I don't think black and White does this any favours he just looks dirty if it were colour you could see his bruises better.I could'nt say it was anything special.

It's a great image. Not a fan of B&W generally...he does look a bit dirty...I can guess that he's got a black eye and a bloody lip but seeing purple and red contrasting against skin tone is more dramatic to me.
