I am thinking of buying the Lowepro Pro Roller x200 Mobile Studio case. Is anyone using this case. Do you like it? Reading the responses from B&H and Adorama, it looks good. I want to carry a tripod also. Do any of you carry the tripod on your Lowepro Pro roller case? What is the size of the tripod. I use the Giottos MT-9260, 21 inch closed, will it work with the case.
Is there a better unit for the same price or less, I would like to hear about it.

I thank you all for your help.

you can't put a pelican on your back like a backpack tho lol

The Lowepro Pro Roller x200 Mobile Studio is definitely not a bag/case designed to use on the go if that's what you're hoping for.

it's definitely meant to shoot out of on location.

Hello DisrupTer911, Thank you. That is something I need. I had a stroke and my right side is numb most of the time. In the winter we will be going to an area about 1 mile from the car. I have to carry everything including the tripod. I want to make 1 trip and carry everything. This is to take photos of the Snow Geese. This looks like this I what I need. Thank you.

I have this case for my underwater gear. It is extremly well made and thoughtfully executed. The only other bag of it's type that I like is the ThinkTank but the Lowepro while slightly heavier seems to have better quality and a bit more room. You can sure haul a lot of stuff in it, it rolls smoothly and is well padded.

I have the X300
It's a great bag.
My only wish would be some sort of a strap to hold the lid from floping all the way open.

Sorry for bumping such an old thread but I am really confused and need your help guys.

LowerPro sells 2 types of roller bags, the LowerPro Pro Roller X200 and X200 AW.
I don't quiet understand what is their difference. I can see that one of them has no side back opening leg that lets one to hold bag at an angle.

I bought the X200 AW but found out that there also is the X200. Which one is the newer and more recommended/better model?

I have the original x200, and it holds all the stuff that I need when I go out in the field.

With LowePro I believe the AW stands for the "All Weather AW Cover™" which is just an attached waterproof cover that pulls out from a pocket the bag.

There are also some other differences/updates over the older x200. Pockets in the lid and different wheel system being a couple.

Just got an X200 from B&H during their daily blowouts for a great price. It's a very thoughtfully made bag that is worth the money, and a no-brainer at the sale price. I could have used it during my Europe trip.
