Strobist: Einstein 640 camera bottom left (model's right) in a 36" stripbox; Einstein 640 top left (model's left) in a 30 degree gridded BD. Shot at f/1.8

5Dmk2, 40D, 10-22, 50 f/1.8, 24-70 f/2.8L, 70-200 f/2.8L MKII, 28-135 USM, 2x 580EX II, lots of other lighting gear.

im not great at giving advice but id say at least entire head and a lil bit in front of hand hanging whatever it is....

to me it just looks like he is cramped in there...

I like the concept and perspective, but I think it's shot too tight. I'm left wondering what the child is reaching for, and I can't help but want to see a little bit more of the child's face.

Nice idee, although I would have shot this from his left so we can see his profile and the decoration he is hanging on the tree, but I love the tone of the picture, so well done on that.

I second all the previous feedback. Basically it's a nice photo, I'm sure the friends and family will love it. If you were to re-take it I would back up / zoom out a bit.
