A friend is selling his truck and asked me to take photos. He's the type that would use a point and shoot but he knows I enjoy taking photos so he asked me. I've never taken pictures of vehicles and I'm using a rebel xs with 18-55 kit lens. Im fine taking exterior photos but the interior is tricky. Can you post examples so I can get the right idea for the best angles? It's a 4-door dodge 1500.

Thanks guys!

This was a friends Subaru STi I took pictures of to sell.

For this one, I took it from the backseat, with the passenger seat leaned all the way back, so it would not be in the shot. (hot-shoe flash was used @ very low setting, and bounced off the ceiling of the car)

This one was taken just to the side of the drivers seat (which was also leaned back a bit, just for extra room) No flash used

Hope this helps!

All of these were taken with the driver's door wide open, usually crouching next to the car. If you don't have any external flash, just try and angle the car so that the sunlight spills into the car in a pleasing manner with not too many harsh shadows.

One flash through the sunroof, the other bounced off a white sheet on the passenger side.

One flash on the driver's seat facing the ceiling, the other on the dash pointing towards the wheel.

You could use a building to kick light into the interior: 2007 Chevy HHR
Or bounce your flash off the headliner.

And since you aren't sharing images, I'm moving this to T. Talk.
